I went to Harry Potter again!

I think I may be the most ridiculous person as I didn't get enough out of the Harry potter studio tour when I went back in May despite the 200 pictures I took. So I went back for another look!

I actually paid attention to things I didn't see the first time round!

Celebs who use film

Taken by Elijah Wood on Lomo LC-A+

I've been out of touch with the blogs I love of late so am having a lazy Saturday catching up on my favs. I was just on here comes the sun by the lovely new zealander Amanda, when I came across her new guest posts. Laura from Bookmarks has written some great articles about Lomography. This includes an article about celebs using different types of film cameras, which is really cool to see! This is where I found this amazingly luscious photo taken by Eilijah Wood! This makes me want to shoot more film! Luckily I have a roll of film that i shot last week in scotland ready to be processed.

You can read some of Laura's lomography posts here:

Easter Holidays!

It was my last day of work before the Easter Holidays today and it was also my good friend Carys's birthday! We had a great day playing wink Murder, Jenga, zip zap bounce and eating party food! I have a week off now and between visiting family and Scotland want to get started on some creative projects. I like the look of this Mountain Cushion

Aquarium!

Sorry i haven't written anything for so long! After posting everyday for a year I expected I would need some time off... But i thought this would be one month rather than three! So hopefully i will get back into doing at least weekly posts. This weekend I went to the Aquarium! I had never been to the London one before and had so much fun looking at all the fish!

Election Artwork

This is the artwork I helped create for the students' union elections this year. I wanted to make it more fun and initially thought of a rainbow theme... but then broadened this out to include vintage weather symbols (just because I like them)... but this lead to the Election being called 'Election Forecast'. Which was pretty cool! Our Comms team managed to tweet Michael Fish and get him on board to read the results!

feeding the ducks

We went to this massive duck pond just outside Leeds over christmas. The ducks were so greedy they came right up to you and took the bread out of your hand!

New Year Goals

A Pair and a Spare’s sorts new year's resolutions out into a category, a goal and then some steps to achieve the goal. I did this last year and it was a good way of focusing my efforts to what I wanted to achieve by the end of the year.

I managed to have a pretty productive year and achieved 80% of what I set out to do. The part that I didn't manage to do this year was to travel to new places. That had to take a back seat as getting a job was more important. However That is definitely something I want to do this year.

  • Work
  • Find new opportunities
  • my current role is really good and I really enjoy it. But it's in a challenging and fast paced environment so I want to keep challenging myself.

  • Home
  • To move further into London
  • I enjoy working and living in London. However my current housemates are moving to the suburbs and I am going to look for a new house share that I can treat more as my home.

  • Learning
  • Keep learning and developing
  • Challenge myself
  • Take advantage of personal development at work - go on courses
  •  Try a sport I have never done before
  • Book onto races

  • Travel
  • Travel and experience new things
  •  Saving money from wages
  • research good places to go
  • visit people who have moved abroad

Happy New Year 2012!

It's the end of 2012 and the last of my daily postings! I will still be posting a lot, but as I have to blog for work too I may just post something more in depth here a couple of times a week. I can't believe I actually managed a whole year of daily updates! Thank goodness for pinterest! Without it I would never have managed it! It has actually been really useful for me in the transition between uni and work to keep myself creatively motivated. Writing this blog has also given me social media experience i now need in my job, so I would recommend it to anyone!

Films!

So far this holiday I have seen Life of Pi, Perks of Being a Wallflower and Anna Karenina. All awesome films and everyone made me cry! Anna Karina has such awesome scene changes and incorporated the element of the theatre really well. Life of Pi was amazing and emotional...Perks of Being a wallflower evoked lots of teen angst and cool music. Now I want to see The Hobbit and Great Expectations!
